Handcrafted Pashmina Stoles and shawls, Color- Red
Tariq Ahmad Mir from Jammu & Kashmir was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy in his childhood, a rare neurological disorder a condition which leads to the degeneration of muscles. His disability did not limit his determination, courage and perseverance. He is founder of Special Hands of Kashmir and explored his love towards handcrafted pashmina stoles and shawls, inspired by Kashmir Valley’s ancient technique called “Sozni”. Sozni embroidery uses thin needles and silk threads to create elaborate floral or paisley patterns on shawls and stoles. This extremely fine, delicate and artistic needle work which is only practiced in Kashmir.
